I don't breed show dogs, all of my
dogs are from good, solid European working bloodlines. All of our breeding
dogs have had their hips x-rayed and are certified to be free of hip Dysplasia by the German "A"
stamp program or the OFA program in America. We feel that our dogs can do very
well in sport, personal protection, police work or be the best companion or family dog that
you can find. Your puppy will be delivered to you with all of it's shots
up-to-date and treated for worms. For the guarantee to be valid it is the
responsibility of the purchaser to have the puppy examined by a Veterinarian of
his or her choice within 72 hours of delivery of the puppy. We normally have the
AKC papers ready when you pick up your pup.
Price: my puppies are $1000.00
Shipping & Deposit's: effective as of Mar. 16, 2002 minimum deposits shall be
$300.00
Shipping a puppy by air normally cost around $250.00
for air fare and a crate within the US). Once you decide to
purchase a puppy and send a Non-refundable deposit of $300.00 (minimum) you will
be placed on the list for the litter in the order that I receive the deposit's.
This is the fairest way that I know of to put people in the picking order for a
litter. The deposit is non-refundable, so be sure that you want the pup and will
not change your mind later on.
Guarantee:
-
I guarantee that the puppy you buy will pass an OFA
hip certification at two year's of age. If your puppy develops hip Dysplasia
within the two year period, it will be replaced with a puppy of equal value
at time of purchase from the next
available litter. This is not a money back guarantee, it is a replacement
guarantee. The replacement pup will be shipped at the expense of the
purchaser and the dysplastic pup will be returned to my kennel at the
purchaser's expense unless other arrangements are mutually agreed upon. If the buyer decides to keep the pup then all
guarantees are null and void unless other arrangements are mutually agreed
upon. Proof of Dysplasia is required before a replacement will be
made. This can be by documentation from the OFA or X-ray's and a statement
from a licensed Veterinarian. I reserve the right to have my Veterinarian
examine and verify the x-ray's before a replacement is made. I highly
recommend that you have a preliminary x-ray done on your pup at about one
year of age to make sure early on that the dogs hips are good before a lot
of time and energy is wasted on training a dog that could have bad hips.
-
I guarantee that your puppy will be shipped in good health,
with all vaccinations up to date. I do not guarantee temperament, the reason
being, I cannot control what happens to a dog after it leaves my kennel.
-
I guarantee that your male puppy's testicles will drop, if
they do not the pup will be replaced from the next available litter.
-
I guarantee that the dogs ears will stand erect, if they do
not the pup will be replaced.
-
Your puppy will be tattooed in the right ear for permanent
identification.
-
All puppies will be named by me and all will have my kennel
name on their permanent registration, example: ( Alli vom Haus Baysden ).
You can use any call name that you wish, but the registered name will be
made by me.
-
No further guarantees or warranties are expressed or
implied.
A word on Hip
Dysplasia: Beware of breeders that say they have been
breeding German Shepherd dogs for many years and brag about never had to
replace a puppy for Hip Dysplasia. They are either out right telling a
lie, don't stand behind their guarantee or they have not been breeding
these dogs for very long. Anyone who has been breeding German Shepherds
for years has had this problem show itself at some time or another. What
you should look for is a breeder that is honest about this and one that
stands behind his or her guarantee if the problem does come up, a breeder
that will make this right as painlessly as they can. No matter how you try
to breed Hip Dysplasia out of existence it still remains a problem that
all breeders have to stay alert for and deal with at some point. Only buy
your new pup from a breeder that has had both parents hips x-rayed and
certified to be free from this crippling disease, both parents ancestors
should also be x-rayed and certified. This is only one of the reasons that
we breed our dogs to the same strict standards as used in Germany. For me
to register a litter with the United Schutzhund Club of America, both
parents have to have their hips certified by the OFA or the SV (German)
"a" stamp, both parents have to have Schutzhund titles and a breed survey.
It obviously doesn't matter to the AKC if both parents have Hip Dysplasia,
both parents only have to be AKC registered in order for you to register a
litter. This last statement is the prime reason that Hip Dysplasia became
such a bad problem in this country. I do not use any American bloodline
dogs in our breeding program.
